The San Diego native naturally loves the beach and surfing, and his attractive, unmanageable hair has a perpetual salt-in-the-air look. Let’s get to know Timmy Tommy.

So, Tim, first some basics: What is your age, weight, and height? Hair/eye color? Birthday? What agency represents you? What is your hometown & current residence?What is your ancestry?
Stats are always important in this industry! I’m 24, 6’3”, 175 pounds. Currently rockin’brown hair with hazel eyes. Birthday is 09-19-1991 and I’m with David Todd Model Management. I was born and raised in San Diego and finally made the move up to LA last February. My nationality is Hungarian (thus the olive skin).
What were you like in high school?I’m guessing the class clown! Was modeling a dream of yours at that time? Tell us about those initial post high-school years.
Haha modeling was never even a thought in high school. I was lanky, goofy, and definitely the class clown! I really wanted to get into improv comedy because I was so quick witted and really enjoy making people laugh.
Before we jump in further, it is hard to find social media images or Snapchats of you without an animal in it? Talk about your love for animals. Where does that come from? What pets do you have? Is there some pet or animal you would love to own one day when you live in a sprawling mansion?
I’ve always loved animals!!Ever since I was young my family has had kittens, dogs, fish, and geckos! We even used to have piranhas! Currently it’s too hard for me to have my own animal because I wouldn’t be home enough to care for it!But I plan on getting a dog or two when all this traveling settles down. The dogs on my Instagram are (photographer Darren) Tieste’s Pomeranians and the kitten we rescued from the streets! I feel like animals are always drawn to me and I love it!!
How and when did you end up in modeling? Tell us about that experience.
Modeling never even crossed my mind until I was working at Hollister while getting my Bachelor’s Degree. Our district manager was in charge of opening all the new stores in Asia and she asked me and a couple of my friends who worked there if we would be interested traveling all around Asia opening all the new Hollister stores! I thought this adventure would be amazing, but when she said that it was for a full year and I would have to drop out of school, I had to deny the offer. Watching all my friends travel and model for Hollister got me really jealous and got my gears turning on how I could do what they were doing. A year later I walked in to David Todd’s office and began that adventure!
So, Tim, what did you get your degree in?
I got my B.A. in Business Marketing from Point Loma Nazarene University. I loved the school because my dorm was LITERALLY on the ocean, so I was able to surf after studies.
So is it fair to describe you as one who enjoys attention with an exhibitionist streak?
Haha as an entertainer and a model, I’ve always pushed the limits on what I can do to get a response from people.I’ve always loved doing things where people can’t help but say “WOW”.I don’t think there’s a better way to find yourself than to push the boundaries. Art should evoke that “WOW” factor, and I think that’s more where I’m focusing in modeling. The way I’m standing out in this industry is by pushing the envelope and not settling for meritocracy.
Tell us all about your very first shoot? What was it like? How nervous were you?
I was so nervous!! I’ve always been very photogenic but knowing that these images we’re going to be part of my book that defines me definitely made me more nervous. We shot on the beach, which if you haven’t noticed is my element, so it helped to relax me. —Tim.
I know Darren Tieste has shot you frequently. Some great images! Explain what it’s like when you have a special chemistry with a photographer like that.
Tieste is like a father figure to me.Being a model in Australia before picking up photography, he’s taught me how to really “give it” to the camera and work my angles.His work is incredible, and I would definitely recommend working with him if you haven’t had a chance.
So what are a few of your funniest stories related to living the life of a model…either from a perk, a fan, or story from the set?
I think one of the funniest experiences being a model is when you run into fans. I was at Six Flags getting onto a roller coaster, and two fans sat behind me and they were like “I wonder if timmytommy is going to scream like a girl on this ride”. I turned around gave them a wink and said “I guess we’re about to find out.”They loved it.
What are some of the coolest castings you have attended?
Lol I’m yet to experience a cool casting. Standing in line with 400 others waiting for a few digitals pretty much sums up my experience with castings.
Tim, what are the things you like most about modeling?
The thing I like most about modeling is creating images that people can enjoy!! I was never artsy growing up so I missed out on that part of life. I’m really happy that I was able to find this creative outlet through modeling to express who I am.
What are your career ambitions?
I have huge career ambitions. Whether it be through modeling or acting, I’m ready to join the spotlight with other celebrities as an entertainer.Combining my looks with my outgoing personality, I see some big things in the future. I’m teaming up with a couple friends and we’re going to be putting out a lot of content in the next couple of months!!
Content…what type of content?What platform will you be using?
The platform we’re going to be using is Vine.A lot of the big vine users aren’t as active as they used to be on it, so they’re leaving room for us to dominate the platform. Lots of funny relatable videos coming!I’m sure everyone will love them .
Who are some photographers you dream to shoot with?
I’ve got a list and they’re mostly all in NYC! I’m definitely going to have to make a trip out there soon. My bucket list consists of Chuando and Frey, Brian Jamie (he just started following me on instagram <3), Rick Day, John Russo, and Leonardo Corredor.
Who is your male modeling inspiration(s)?
I was actually just talking with him the other day about this! Elliott Law of DT Model Management. That guy has literally the most perfect body proportions I’ve ever seen and will be my body inspiration goals until I get there. I had the pleasure of working along side him for Desnudo Magazine (coming next issue) and we immediately hit it off and have become good friends since.
From where or whom did you get your sense of humor?
100% from my dad. He’s the funniest guy I’ve ever known, and he knows when to switch from professional to goofball. That skill is a rare talent, and it shows a high level of self awareness and maturity.
You mentioned improv comedy earlier. Is that still on the table…perhaps a gateway into acting?
My main focus right now is modeling but it definitely would make a good transition into acting. I love to entertain, so however best I figure out how to entertain others I’ll do!!So far people have been loving my Instagram content.
That hair on your head, Tim, it has a life of its own!!!!What’s up with that?
My Hair…oh boy where do I begin! No matter how much product I’ve used it always seems to break free and express itself as it pleases. I get hair cuts every two months but it grows so fast that people can never tell. You know what they say, you either get hair on your head or everywhere else!
So I know you love motorcycles and playing football. But, like a true Southern California boy, you also love to surf. The world has stereotypes of the surfer dude…how many of those apply to you?
Haha the world loves its stereotypes. I surf because it’s a great escape from my iphone and also a great workout. The rest is up for you to judge😉
What is something people would be surprised to learn about Timmy Tommy?
Most people assume I must be outside and tan a lot because I’m so dark, but my tan stays year round since I’m Hungarian. I actually spend most of my time in the gym or hanging out with friends indoors.

Zach Grenenger has moviestar looks, an Ivy League brain and Olympic athleticism. He’s also one of the most down to earth guys you’ll come across. Chris Chase: Hey Zach! Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule down under to chat with me for a bit. There’s so much to talk about but let’s start with you basic modeling statistics.
Zach Grenenger: Hello Chris! First of all, I certainly appreciate your interest in me and I’m happy to do this interview. Here are my statistics…

CC: Tell me how long you’ve been in the industry and how your career got started.
ZG: I’ve been doing modeling around 4-5 years .. I was was scouted at a very young age walking down the streets of double bay with my mum when an agent first approached .. At that young of an age the only driver for me to start was that my mum was a model so i wanted to be like her but now I guess my drive comes from wanting to be successful in this industry ..
CC: So you’ve been a pro for a while. Plus you had that inside track! Lol Tell about your biggest accomplishment personal or professional.
ZG: Personally I feel like I’ve had a very different up bringing to a lot of others … Before modeling I was a national swimmer and shortly after swapped to rowing and became apart of the Shore first 8 and won a nation wide competition … So I feel like that’s my most accomplished moment … Like wise with work I feel like my proudest moment comes from a job I’ve booked … So I feel like Moschino show this season was a highlight for sure , the caliber of people who walked was insane from the best female – male models in the world … So I was very happy to be amongst them !
CC: So I guess the question would be, what can’t you do?! You have so many options but what are your long term aspirations?
ZG: hmmm long term aspirations is a very tricky one for sure … I feel like with this line of work we are always just trying to find out what we have on tomorrow let alone years ahead of time … So Im gonna have to say I’ll stick to modeling and acting for the meantime and if that doesn’t work I’ll go back to university and study veterinary science like I originally planned …
CC: So no. There’s nothing you can’t do. Lol. Modeling, swimming, rowing, veterinary science and Ivy League smarts. No fair. If you weren’t modeling what would you be doing?
ZG: If I wasn’t modeling I would actually funnily enough be at an Ivy League school in the states for rowing … Studying amongst very intelligent people with a rowing scholarship … That was my path before I found this industry and how much I enjoy it.
CC: WOW. Obviously you’re in incredible shape. What does your workout routine look like?
ZG: Well my workout routine changes a lot throughout the year based on what clients want etc … But mostly I do 45mins running then into TRX ropes and do crunches and ab exercises for around 25 mins .. Then every second day I do conditioning with a personal trainer .. So around 6 days a week give or take a day of that to be taken by work…
CC: Tell me what a perfect day for Zach is.
ZG: A perfect day for Zach is going to sound so Australian !! I love surfing been doing it since I was little .. So spending the day surfing with mates then coming in around sunset, makinga bonfire and some food and crack open a few drinks and watch the sun go down and play music ..
CC: That’s sounds great to me! I’m not exactly a surfing expert. So on that perfect day you’re probably going to have a cheat meal. What’s your favorite cheat food?
ZG: My favorite cheat food I’ve actually discovered over in LA. It’s vegan pancakes with multigrain and chocolate chip banana clusters … They speak for themselves …
CC: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
ZG: Inmy spare time , I surf and hang with mates .. I feel like I am very social person and love meeting new people and going new places . Always up for a road trip or anything exciting along those lines …
CC: So let’s get a favorites rundown. Favorite sport, TV show etc.
ZG:I don’t really follow sports but at the moment I’ve just discovered the TV show FRIENDS which I know is way past its day in the lime light but I am seriously enjoying watching that from start to finish ..
CC: FRIENDS is an incredible show! I love Chandler. Ive talked at length about all of the things you’re really good at. What’s something you’re not so good at?
ZG: Something Im not good at , that’s an easy one … I have no musical talent what so ever and my family are all amazing at music so I feel like I missed that talent train for sure!
CC: Don’t feel too bad. Musical talent is a hard one. Who was your childhood hero?
ZG: My childhood hero was my dad. My two brothers and I loved my dad so much we just thought up super hero powers regardless of how un heroic his business suits were we had a blast with our imaginations!
CC: That’s amazing. I know a lot of times we don’t see the real heroes right in front of us. So, let’s play desert island. You’re stuck on a deserted island. You can only have one food, book and movie for the rest of your life. What are they?
ZG: Hah!Well let’s start with food cause that’s easy … I would have sushi for the rest of my days and never complain !
“A movie would be the Harry Potter series I am secretly in love with them like everyone else … And a book would have to be “The Secret ” by Rhonda Byne … It’s an amazing book a must read if you haven’t!”— Zach.
CC: If I asked your friends to describe you, what would they say?
ZG: My friends would hands down tell you Im crazy … Im a very spontaneous person and love chopping and changing and doing new things … It’s a very 0 or 100 and no in between type of lifestyle!
CC: You seem so deliberate about things. It’s odd to me you’re so spontaneous. That’s great! Give me one word to describe yourself and why.
ZG: One word to describe myself would have to be Spontaneous … The reason for that is due to work I never have forward planning about anything in my life so I end up just making my own time to go adventure and end up in different cities or working somewhere new …
CC: Based on my previous question that makes sense. Who has been an influence on you professionally?
ZG:I would have to say my agent David Conway at Kult Australia … He inspires both personally and professionally by teaching me about the balance of life and what it means to be a well rounded and multi dimensional person … He has always been like a second dad to me and guided me through my career … I owe that man a lot both on my career aspect but also on a personal level !!
CC: In five years Zach Grenenger…?
ZG: I would love to give an amazing answer where I would be in 5 years but I honestly would be guessing .. Don’t know where life is taking me but I’m excited for what’s to come … Whatever it may be.
CC: Just role with the punches! Finally, tell me something about you few people know.
ZG:hmm something only a few people know about me … Im an open book majority of the time but I guess something that people don’t know unless your close to me is I’m a lot younger than people think … I leave the guessing up to everyone else!

Bryan, your famous, sculpted ass is like a national treasure.And you aren’t shy about marketing and flaunting it. First, what does your Mom and siblings say about their son/brother and his golden ass?
My family is very proud of me and my ability to market myself as a Health & Fitness Author. They understand that in order for people to truly believe you’re an expert in fitness, the proof is in the pudding. So it only makes sense to put your physique out there.
How often has your butt cost you modeling work because it and your upper legs are too thick to wear many of their fashions?
My butt has never cost me modeling work because I was never a fashion model.I have always modeled swimwear, underwear, & fitness. It has only been an asset, no pun intended
Is it difficult personally to find jeans/slacks/shorts that fit you comfortably?
It is extremely difficult to find jeans because when the waist fits, there is not enough room for the ass, and when I go a size up, the waist is then too big. It just requires finding pants with a built in stretch to them
Given that people feel so ‘acquainted’ with your posterior, when they meet you in person, do some fans get handsy very quickly, Brian? Do some people assume they automatically have access?How does that make you feel? Where is the line?
Yes, people can be handsy, but in the end of the day, I am in charge of who successfully touches my body. People who try without permission will be in shock by my reaction time in grabbing their hand before that happens, and I use them to set an example to everyone else around them. I am fully aware of my surroundings at all times, and therefore being in control, I feel awesome, self-respected. The rule is don’t ever put your hands on somebody without permission. The line is whatever I decide at any given moment depending on the person and circumstance. It is my body, so if I want you to touch it, I will let you know. lol
You do a lot of exotic male dancing in clubs, ever since you arrived in L.A. years ago. I know that dancing finances a lot of your other work, but have you had instances where you found being a go-go dancer or even your sexy YouTube videos have hindered your credibility with decision-makers in more serious career endeavors?

It’s interesting, my whole life various people have told me that dancing would hinder my ability to do bigger things will real industry professionals. But the truth is, some of the most prominent connections I have made in my career have come directly through dancing. It has done nothing but connect me to amazing talented successful individuals who appreciate beauty and fitness and want to work with me and develop a business relationship or friendship. I have not had one experience where dancing has cost me an opportunity, it honestly has created most of them. We live in a world where people like to project their own personal judgements as fact, but the truth has spoken time and time again with nothing but more open doors.
What is your mindset when dancing, Bryan?Beyond the routines, costumes and choreography, is the mindset simply to be a hot firecracker gyrating on stage, or do you try to connect with patrons using your sensuality and sexuality to create a fantasy for them? For you, is it erotic to have hands touching all over you in a public setting?

I am definitely an entertainer at heart. I like to make people smile and I know for me how much my fitness motivation is tied to visualization. Being able to be that for someone else inspires me to be on my A game. Everybody wants to feel sexy and needs an outlet to connect with that part of themselves. Whether you are the one of stage, or the one appreciating, it’s important for people to liberate that part of themselves and not feel ashamed. So much of religion and conservative culture has taught people to hide their sexuality, but freeing that part of yourself in a healthy way is important mentally, physically, and contributes greatly to one’s overalls sense of well-being.
So, Bryan, back to when you first moved to LA. You were breaking into a music career, but then moved to Miami, Florida. Why?
In 2008, the industry changed, record stores closed, and many new artist were dropped. Everything went digital, so I did not have to be in Los Angeles to share my music with the world. I needed a change, so I moved to the most beautiful beach I could find.
You have said boyfriends and your career don’t mesh well. How many serious boyfriends would you say you have had since high school?
I have had 3 serious boyfriends since high school. I definitely focus on quality verse quantity. There is definitely not a shortage of boys knocking at my door, but finding one that is on the same page is more challenging. Most guys are in party mode. They want to go out, drink, and “have fun”. I have a lot of dreams that I want to see happen, and I know that spending time in the bars and scene is not the route to making that happen, so I focus on staying prolific with my videos, consistently putting out quality content, and building my audience. The bars will always be there, and the same people will be always be in them. Recently, I have been successful connecting with boys that are artistic, creative, and have their own dreams that they are pursuing. It has been exciting and synergistic. I’m excited to see what happens.
While in Miami, things took a bizarre turn. Some people may not know about your well-documented fame with Jake, the African spotted hyena. Hyenas are known as fierce predators.You purchased him as a baby and raised the untamable, strong-jawed animal in your apartment.He lived with you about nine months before you realized the exotic animal was far more than you could handle.The story of you and Jake were featured in National Geographic, Animal Planet and Discover channels. The situation became very complicated and complex. And, to be frank, very controversial.It is certainly a cautionary tale.Not to rehash everything as people can google this subject….but,my question is,….Bryan, what in the world were you thinking?
I don’t expect everyone to understand my story and definitely don’t encourage anyone to take the same path that I took. It is a series of events that were apart of my journey in life, and the things that transpired were beyond amazing, and I have zero regrets. I am grateful for the challenges because they were the catalyst for a bond that was beyond human understanding. I have been asked that question so many times that I wrote an autobiography titled, “How the Heck Did You End Up with a Hyena?” You can read exactly what I was thinking every step of the way. So Jake was ultimately bounced around a bit to different Florida zoos for various reasons. I guess she’s now at home in Punta Gorda, FL at the Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary?When have you last visited her? How was the visit?
Two zoos think it’s a he, the other two think it’[s a she. They are very difficult to sex, and even with a DNA test, results are still inconclusive. To me, he will always be Jake. I visit him on his birthday every year in January, and a lot of times travel to see him for my birthday in June. I usually video our interactions, so you can find the most recent ones on my youtube channel.
After the hyena, you had Beamer, a pet sloth. Tell us about that.
Beamer was my two-toed sloth. He currently resides at the same zoo as Jake. He taught me the value of patience and learning to live in the moment. He never rushes into anything and was a constant reminder that happiness is only found in the present moment.
So, is zoology in your future?
I worked for Miami Zoo shortly after raising Jake. I was in charge of animal & people interaction with the camels, rhinos, and giraffes. I think the relationship I have built with Jake and my previous experiences have been enough at this point. But who knows, some of my happiest moment have been interacting with animals. I try to incorporate animal encounters into my current youtube videos. Interacting with wild penguins, elephants, seals, and monkeys have made certain parodies some of my all-time favorites.

In 2013, you feel asleep driving and crashed your car in Florida. Tell us about that and the ramifications.
Sometimes in life, you think something is a set back and it’s actually a set up. What you think is working against you is actually working for you. That car crash is single handedly responsible for the launch of my youtube career. I was forced to quit my gymnastics job in Tampa where I ran the boys program and move in with mom. I had to leave my students, which broke my heart. Living in close quarters with my mom created a lot of tension, so she told me I had to stay with my dad. I had not seen my dad in 3 years and the last time I saw him, he was beating me over the head with a Bible for being gay. When I called him, he told me I was not allowed in the main house, but could stay in the guest house. When I walked inside, the walls were gray blocks of stone as I came to terms with my new world of isolation.
My whole life has seemed to come crashing down, and I seemed to had lost everything. At that time, Miley Cyrus came out with her music video, “Wrecking Ball”. As I looked around, I realized I had the perfect set to reenact this video. So I had a friend drive me to Home Depot, and I bought an exercise ball and a sledge hammer and launched my first parody music video. Not only did it launch my youtube career into the millions, but it set my life financially free.At that point, I moved to San Francisco where I would not need a car and started making youtube videos full time.
You often travel abroad. What have been your favorite places to visit?
My favorite places have been Gold Coast, Australia; Kruger National park, South Africa; and the Faulkland Islands of the coast of Argentina.

You have many fans who adore you.But, you also have many critics. You even recently wrote and composed a song about this called“Kiss My Ass”. Why do you think you are a bit polarizing?Do the naysayers with mean comments ever bother you?

I realized that people will only take time to try to bring you down if they can visibly see that you are rising. Anyone in the limelight will always have supporters and critics. It is not a reflection of you. You just become an outlet for peoples own self projections. If somebody is a loving person, you will get a loving comment. If somebody is filled with hate, their comment will reflect that. Having haters is just a sign that your career is moving forward, when they stop hating is when you actually need to be worried. The key is to focus on the fans that love you.

Modeling never even crossed my mind until I was working at Hollister while getting my Bachelor’s Degree. Our district manager was in charge of opening all the new stores in Asia and she asked me and a couple of my friends who worked there if we would be interested traveling all around Asia opening all the new Hollister stores! I thought this adventure would be amazing, but when she said that it was for a full year and I would have to drop out of school, I had to deny the offer. Watching all my friends travel and model for Hollister got me really jealous and got my gears turning on how I could do what they were doing. A year later I walked in to David Todd’s office and began that adventure!

Yes, people can be handsy, but in the end of the day, I am in charge of who successfully touches my body. People who try without permission will be in shock by my reaction time in grabbing their hand before that happens, and I use them to set an example to everyone else around them. I am fully aware of my surroundings at all times, and therefore being in control, I feel awesome, self-respected. The rule is don’t ever put your hands on somebody without permission. The line is whatever I decide at any given moment depending on the person and circumstance. It is my body, so if I want you to touch it, I will let you know. lol
